Roundtable with Experts, Members of the European Parliament, Representatives of SMEs and of the Profession
19 February 2019, 14.00-16.30, Press Club, Rue Froissart 95 – 1040 Brussels
The Report “Survey of Non-Financial Reporting Requirements for SMEs in Europe”, co-authored by Richard Martin (ACCA) and Paul Thompson (EFAA Director)is the culmination of an EFAA project looking at the reporting of NFI by SMEs across 14 European countries.
The report was published on 19 November and presented in Vienna on the same date. Policymakers and relevant stakeholders are invited to come and discuss the next steps. Are SMEs doing enough in the pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) andthe fight against climate change? Should SMEs be encouraged, or even required, to report more on their environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance If so, what NFI should they report and what framework should they use? How relevant and applicable is integrated thinking and reporting to SMEs?
