For a discussion on
“Grids of the future and future of the grids”

Energy transition is a crucial dimension in the Energy Union’s and in the Clean Energy package presented by the European Commission last 30th November 2016. It places the distribution system at the heart of the measures to efficiently absorb locally-produced energy, notably from renewable energy sources (90% of renewables are connected to the distribution grid, close to the consumption). By becoming “smart grids”, the distribution networks also make up the digital interface from which tomorrow’s “smart” cities will emerge and in which the shared lifestyles of European citizens will be reinvented.
The stakes are high for industrial and public services like Enedis (which manages the public electricity distribution network for 95% of continental France) and for Europe since they concern not only the economy, industries, ecology and technologies, but also society as a whole

The debate (En/Fr) will be followed at 19.30 by a cocktail
