15 March, also known as the Ides of March, a turning point in Roman history, is Brexit Day minus 14 days. Everything is still up in their air about Brexit. The debate in Britain has been highly toxic, unleashing a Pandora’s box of problems and leaving Brits and continentals angry, frustrated and worried about their futures and the future of their children.
Well, just as Pandora managed to shut the box in time to keep hope alive in it, we are optimistic that, if and when Britain leaves the EU, Britain and its continental partners will slam the box shut and find a way forward. But to find a way forward, you need to be clear about what happened, why things happened and where things may head. And that is what we have tried to offer with this documentary.
Arthur Huxham has produced, with the support of Julian Hale, a documentary charting the events since the referendum in 2016, together with footage of scenes outside the British parliament after it rejected UK Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal and interviews with MEPs, consultants, journalists and think tankers.
We are offering you a sneak preview of the documentary before we publish it on 17 March.
