On Wednesday, 10 April, a delegation of Moldavian journalists visited the Press Club as part of the „European Fellowships for Journalists”, a nine-year-old program in Moldova, implemented by ASPIR non-gov association. The purpose of the Program is to provide young journalists with professional expertise in European issues, and it is designed as a series of trainings on Euro-integration and international relations topics. The program is aimed at journalists with at least three years of professional experience in print, online, and audiovisual media, in the economic, social, and political fields. For the third year in a row, the Press Club Brussels Europe and its partner Propager have coordinated the organisation of the Daphne Caruana Galizia Prize for Journalism. A Greek, German and British consortium has won the 2023 Daphne Caruana Galizia Prize for investigating the Adriana shipwreck, which left over 600 migrants dead off Pylos in Greece. The joint investigation by the Greek investigative outlet Solomon, in collaboration with Forensis, the German public broadcaster StrgF/ARD, and the British newspaper The Guardian revealed how the deadliest migrant shipwreck in recent history happened as a result of the actions taken by the Greek Coast[more...]

Invited on the 10 October by the President of the Press Club Alia Papageorgiou, Sarah Crew, publisher of The Bulletin, Orlando Whitehead Editor of the Brussels Times and Jasmijn Post Editor at BRUZZ Brussels met with the group #RestlessBrussels and discussed their role but also answered questions in turn.
