This analysis is based on quantitative and qualitative research (7,600 interviews total) that has been conducted between 2020 and 2023 in collaboration with more than 230 key stakeholders and decision-makers from governments, private sector and civil society in 11 EU Member States in Central and Eastern Europe: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Moreover, given that the war in Ukraine has often been the context, catalyst, and driving force for many businesses and individuals to start giving, the quantitative research was expanded to include also the Ukraine.
The report, offering actionable insights to drive positive social impact across the region, was prepared from 3 perspectives:
- Country perspective (11 CEE countries plus Ukraine)
- Target group perspective (Investors, Business, Academia, Public Administration, etc.)
- Knowledge area perspective (SDGs, access to finance, etc.)
