The Ukrainian journalist of news source “Sharij.net” was kidnapped near hotel “Dnepr” in the city center of Kyiv. It happened on September, 4th. Many people witnessed the incident.

The girl was forced to get in the car. She was transported to the office of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).  They hold her without any participation of lawyer, without any permission to call her relatives. Officers used psychological pressure techniques. The journalist was detained up until the next morning.

SBU officers were outraged at her polling activity. The girl had been conducting polls related to socio-political issues. A key feature of those polls was holistic videos – people’s thoughts weren’t cut or distorted.

In result, SBU had to recognize that the arrest had taken place. In the official press release, the Security Service accused her of collaborating with “representatives of Russian special services”.

The government of Ukraine totally censor and suppress all media sources, bloggers and journalists, who dare to make public the real attitude of the nation towards the current internal situation. Anyone who systematically criticizes the government or defends an objective “nopropagandistic” stance is charged with being a Russian spy paid by FSB.

Ukrainian journalists, Olga Belova, who was kidnapped, and Ruslan Kotsaba, who a prisoner of conscience in Urkaine  according to «Amnesty International»,  19 th of September will deliver a speech on press conference in Press Club Brussels Europe asbl.
