B’nai B’rith International and the Amadeu Antonio Foundation invite you to the launch
of a new and timely report On Europe’s Streets: Annual Marches Glorifying Nazism
Background
In February 2023 alone, Nazi sympathizers marched in Budapest, in Sofia, in Madrid and in Dresden to pay tribute to WWII-era war criminals and events. “The biggest far-right march in Europe” is the title proudly sought out by such marches glorifying Nazism and fascism happening across the continent each year.
Despite existing Europe-wide legal frameworks that ban Holocaust and genocide denial and gross distortion, and hate speech inciting to violence, the marches persist with impunity.
B’nai B’rith International and the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, along with experts from across Europe, are launching the report On Europe’s Streets: Annual Marches Glorifying Nazism – our contribution to accelerating the necessary work of removing these hateful displays from Europe’s public square.
Join us to unpack the main findings of the report, and discuss ways forward for European, national and local level actors.
Welcome and context setting
