Dear colleagues,
Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) and the Kofi Annan Foundation (KAF) are delighted to invite you to a round-table discussion “From the European Media Freedom Act to the right to information: the challenges ahead”, which will take place on 5 June 2024 from 14.30 to 16.30 at the Press Club, rue Froissart 95, Brussels.
The round-table aims at recognizing the achievements made in recent years in terms of regulation and legislation on media freedom. It will particularly discuss the latest changes regarding the recent adoption of the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA). It will explore the challenges that lie ahead and highlight the complexity and importance of the legislation.
The round-table will gather regulators, self-regulatory organisations, civil society, EU policymakers to showcase the upcoming framework of the European information ecosystem. Please find more information in the agenda attached.
