Ukrainian Veterans to Visit Press Club Brussels Europe

and Discuss challenges facing Veterans & wounded defenders

Friday 26 May 2023 – 11:00 – 13:00

Rue Froissart 95, 1040 Brussels

Three Ukrainian veterans, who have suffered serious wounds, will be visiting Brussels from 24-31 May 2023, to provide a vital platform for discussing veteran affairs.

The visit is part of the efforts to raise awareness about the well-being and rehabilitation programmes for wounded Ukrainian defenders.

Roman Kashpur, Yurii Kozlovskyi, and Yurii Tsyntylevych are visiting Brussels to share information on the current situation faced by Ukrainian veterans.

During their visit, the veterans will participate in meetings with relevant organisations and institutions. Their visit will culminate in a ‘20 km of Brussels’ run, with Roman Kashpur, who recently set a record for completing the London marathon, participating alongside Yurii Kozlovskyi and Yurii Tsyntylevych.

We owe it to veterans who have selflessly protected Ukraine and Europe from Russia’s war to ensure they receive the support and assistance they need to transition back into civilian life and overcome the challenges they face as a result of their service,” said Yana Brovdiy, volunteer of Promote Ukraine and initiator of the visit.

The visit of Ukrainian veterans to Brussels is a strong show of support for the welfare of Ukrainian veterans. Their involvement in the visit and the upcoming run will undoubtedly add a compelling voice to the conversation around veteran affairs.

Journalists are invited to attend the press event in Brussels on May 26th where the Ukrainian veterans will be available for interviews. The event is a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the experiences and challenges faced by Ukrainian veterans and to learn about the important work being done to support them.

The press conference will be followed by an informal buffet lunch from 11.30-13.00.
