ACROSS is the key word for a disruptive project aiming to bring the European defence at the world forefront and will be unveiled in a press conference being held at the Press Club Brussels this May 27th at 15h00 (CET), with Martin Jõesaar from the European Defence Fund, among others.
From the code name “Adaptive Camouflage foR sOldierS and vehicleS”, ACROSS project will develop disruptive technologies and solutions for adaptive camouflage, adapting their signatures to the background under different environmental conditions, in multiple spectral ranges.
Financed under European Defence Fund (EDF) and with an overall budget of about €14,5 M, ACROSS brings together 19 partners from 9 EU countries, including military forces, industry and R&D centres under coordination of CITEVE – Portuguese Technological Centre for Textile and Clothing Industry.
The project will foster critical mass of cross border collaborations by joining different key actors strengthening and improving the agility of both defence supply and value chains, widening cross-border cooperation between legal entities, and fostering the better exploitation of the industrial potential of innovation, research and technological development, at each stage of the industrial lifecycle of defence products and technologies.
