All press clubs around the world are now the Kyiv Press Club in Exile.
Dear all, colleagues and members,
In the past weeks we have seen and heard of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, which has shocked the world and spurred a massive response. At the same time, we have witnessed extraordinary feats made by both foreign and national journalists to not only survive but also to accurately report on the situation in Ukraine and Russia.
We have all in some ways sought to help our colleagues in this effort, I know many of you have been in touch and asked for assistance from the Club or inquired about how we could also help by sharing ideas and projects. Please keep them coming so that we can share with all.
In 2013, the Press Club Brussels Europe hosted the European Congress of Press Clubs. The Guest of honour of this Congress was the Kyiv Press Club.
Having currently the Presidency of both Worldwide and European Federation of Press Clubs and in partnership with the Press Club Polska and the Press Club de France, the Press Club Brussels Europe launches this solidarity initiative with our Ukrainian colleagues permitting them to feel home in all Press Clubs around the world.
Our Press Clubs remain open to all journalists working on this story or all news, and we are also staying abreast of the concurrent work being undertaken on media freedom, and the work towards facts against disinformation.
WE ARE ALL KYIV PRESS CLUB NOW and support journalists who are looking to continue their fine work.
