On the 9 March 2023, Fern, the European Parliament’s Responsible Business Conduct Working Group (RBC WG) and the Greens/EFA held a panel discussion with the aim of bringing together European Commission officials, Members of the European Parliament (MEP), Member State representatives and civil society to discuss how to develop the strategic framework could look like, who should be involved and what its content may be. Panellists will also explore lessons from existing initiatives such as the EU-Ghana-Côte d’Ivoire Cocoa Talks. A delegation of representatives from Civil Society Organisations from Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay will attend this event and contribute to the discussions.
