Earlier this week, we welcomed a seminar organized by, the KF-VUB Korea Chair at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and the Korea Economic Institute (KEI).
At the seminar, KIEP, along with former and current senior officials and trade experts, explored the potential for trilateral cooperation among Korea, the United States, and the EU in response to changes in the trade and economic security environment.
Speakers included Siwook Lee, President of KIEP, Ramon Pacheco Pardo, Chairman of KF-VUB Korea, Scott Snyder, President/Chief Executive Officer of KEI, Joanna Szychowska, Director for Asia at the European Commission, Jiyoon Lee, Minister-Counselor for Economic Affairs, Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Belgium and the EU, Dan Froats, Economic Counselor at the US Mission to the EU, as well as Karel de Gucht, President of the Brussels School of Governance at the VUB.
