A LOT OF HOT AIR. Who’s telling the truth in the Burisma gas scandal?

A new British documentary released next week examines the murky affair which brought two U.S. Presidents and two Ukrainian Presidents under the microscope amid allegations of corruption and lies.

What is the connection between the 45th and 46th Presidents of the United States and one of the most corrupt countries in Europe? Why did President Biden’s son work for an energy company headed by a former Ukrainian Minister accused of large-scale corruption? And why were some top Ukrainian investigators sacked?

British journalists look for answers to these and other questions in the documentary A LOT OF HOT AIR. Who’s telling the truth in the Burisma gas scandal?

Burisma was established in 2002. Its assets were consolidated in 2007-2008. The company then headed by Mykola Zlochevskyi, a former minister suspected of large-scale corruption in Ukraine under fugitive Ukrainian ex-president Viktor Yanukovych.

In 2014, Burisma’s supervisory board members included the son of current US President, Hunter Biden, and former Polish President Aleksander Kwaśniewski.

That was just the start of a 7-year story which has repeatedly made headlines around the world. This new film takes a fresh look, trying to make the story more accessible for those bamboozled with the terminology and fed-up with the mud-slinging by both sides.

The Premiere of the film, followed by your chance to question producer Tim White, will take place on:

2 June 2021 at The Press Club, Rue Froissart 95, Brussels 1040, Belgium at 11.00
