The U.S. Department of State’s Johannesburg Media Hub will host Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Africa at the National Security Council, Dana L. Banks for a digital press briefing on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.  After giving brief opening remarks about how the U.S. government is working to increase U.S.-Africa trade and investment through Prosper Africa, Senior Director Banks will take questions from participating journalists.

Background information: Prosper Africa is a U.S. Government initiative to substantially increase two-way trade and investment between the United States and Africa.  This includes trade and investment flows from the United States to Africa, as well as those from Africa to the United States.
