BRUSSELS, Belgium – Can sustainable food systems spearhead the global green transition? What does a fair food future mean for our planet and our climate? And, what actions do we need businesses and governments to take to ensure our food systems can deliver sustainable change?
On 13 October, Voxeurop, Fairtrade and leading stakeholders will tackle these questions in Building a Fair Food Future – an in-person panel event addressing the impact sustainable food systems can have on mitigating climate change and building a fairer and greener future for all. The panel discussion, to be held in Brussels, Belgium at Wolf Sharing Food Market, comes just weeks before world leaders, international organizations, and civil society actors will gather in Egypt for the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, otherwise known as COP27.
Moderated by Voxeurop’s Catherine André, panellists will include Deborah Osei-Mensah, Cocoa Farmer and Fairtrade Ambassador; Paul Schoenmakers, Head of Impact, Tony’s Chocolonely; Saskia Bricmont, Member of European Parliament, Belgium; and Xavier Rombouts, CEO, Rombouts Coffee.
