MEDIA ADVISORY | December 1st Digital Press Briefing with Katrina Fotovat, Senior Official, Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues

Please join us on Wednesday, December 1, for a digital press briefing with Katrina Fotovat of the U.S. Secretary of State’s Office of Global Women’s Issues on the topic of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV.) Ms. Fotovat will discuss the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to preventing and responding to GBV, including through the recently released, first-ever U.S. National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality, the forthcoming update of the U.S. Strategy to Prevent and Respond to GBV Globally, and the development of the first-ever domestic U.S. National Action Plan to End GBV. After brief opening remarks, Ms. Fotovat will take questions from participating journalists.

This is a joint digital press briefing conducted by the Brussels Media Hub and the Africa Regional Media Hub.
