High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell will travel to Singapore from 31 May to 2 June, where he will participate in the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue.
The Dialogue will host defence ministers, military leaders, senior officials, business leaders and security experts from around the globe to discuss common security challenges, defence cooperation and humanitarian operations. The visit will also provide the opportunity to reaffirm the strength of the EU-Singapore partnership and EU-ASEAN relations.
On 31 May, High Representative/Vice-President Borrell will meet the Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.
On 1 June, High Representative/Vice-President Borrell will deliver a speech during the third plenary session on ‘Building Cooperative Security in the Asia-Pacific’. A recording will be made available on EbS.
During his visit, High Representative/Vice-President Borrell will hold bilateral meetings with regional actors and participants to the Dialogue.
