Guidelines for the 2023 budget – Section III
Speaker: Joachim Kuhs (coordinator in the committee on budgetary control)
Telephone: +33 3 88 1 75784
E-mail: joachim.kuhs@europarl.europa.eu
Joachim Kuhs: The EU budget is in favour of Brussels, not citizens!
“The EU 2023 budget is blindly used to promote the supranational agenda. For example, deepening the health Union in the wake of Covid-19, increasing the budget of the anti-Semitic UNRWA, and implementing the anti-democratic recommendations of the Conference on the Future of Europe. However, the fight against the energy crisis and the protection of the EU’s external borders in the Mediterranean are astonishingly ignored!”
The situation in Afghanistan, especially the situation of women’s rights
Speaker: Christine Anderson (coordinator in the committee on women’s rights)
Telephone: +33 3 88 1 75841
Email: christine.anderson@europarl.europa.eu
Christine Anderson: “The deterioration of women’s living standards is also Western woke culture’s fault. The West wanted to gender Hindu Kush and dance with Talibans on Christopher Street Day. Instead, the West was humiliated and thrown out of Afghanistan. Now the Western cultural hegemony’s boomerang is coming back. The EU Parliament’s outcry over the situation of women in Afghanistan is hypocritical. As recently as last December, the Parliament denied the Sakharov Prize to women in Afghanistan.”
The future of security and defence policy
Speaker: Bernhard Zimniok (coordinator in the committee on development)
Phone: +33 3 88 1 75772
E-mail: bernhard.zimniok@europarl.europa.eu
Bernhard Zimniok: Nation-States defend Europe. Not the EU.
“The only way to protect ourselves against outside attacks are Nation-States’ armies and defence capabilities. Instead of wasting millions of taxpayers’ money on ideologised gender seminars or maternity suits for pregnant women or armoured vehicles suitable for pregnant women, as was the case under Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen, the AfD would have devised long ago a defence policy that makes sense and wisely used funds.
The annual reports of The German Bundestag’s defence commissioners show that we must spend more money on equipment and technical devices.
Before the EU usurps defence competence with an EU army, Nation-States like Germany must have their own armies. A current task of these armies would be, for example, external border protection. An EU army is not necessary for that either.”
Implementation of civic education measures
Sepaker: Christine Anderson (coordinator in the committee on culture, youth and education)
Phone: +33 3 88 1 75841
E-Mail: christine.anderson@europarl.europa.eu
Christine Anderson: “The EU should stick to the treaties and leave education policy to Member States. Instead, funding is distributed in programmes the report mentions prominently. But, of course only if the education policy is in line with the EU’s ideological guidelines. For Germany, as the largest contributor, this means above all that we provide the EU with our own money as leverage, only to have Ms von der Leyen and Co. dictate to us what we should and should not do.”

Unfolding of relations between the EU on the one hand and Poland and Hungary on the other hand
Speaker: Dr. Nicolaus Fest (Delegation leader)
Phone: +33 3 88 1 75524
E-Mail: nicolaus.fest@europarl.europa.eu
Dr. Nicolaus Fest,: No plenary session in the EU Parliament goes by without Poland and Hungary being accused of rule of law violations. These allegations are usually ill-founded and driven by Brussels’ grudge against these countries’ conservative governments. For example, the EU’s claim that there would be LGBT-free zones in Poland is pure fiction. The truth is that several Polish local authorities have committed themselves to the ‘Municipal Charter on the Rights of Families’, which stands against the ‘loss of moral values’ in children’s upbringing and the ‘LGBT’ abbreviation is not even mentioned. Another example is the allegations that the Hungarian Child Protection Act discriminates against sexual minorities. But the fact is that it only aims to push back the influence of LGBT propaganda, which Hungarians’ perfect right. Instead of constantly attacking Warsaw and Budapest, the EU would better deal with real violations. In contrast to Poland or Hungary, the irregularities in Berlin’s voting polls during the 2021 general elections are not properly addressed. Neither are brutal attacks by Antifa’s against Germany’s opposition members, nor the fact lawmakers from governing parties are appointed as Supreme Constitutional Court Judges. Inevitably, one has the feeling the EU measures reality with different yardsticks.

Sovereign nation states should decide on asylum rights! Not the EU!
Speaker: Dr. Nicolaus Fest (leader of the delegation)
Phone: +33 3 88 1 75524
E-Mail: nicolaus.fest@europarl.europa.eu
Dr. Nicolaus Fest: Asylum as an individual right was first enshrined in the German Constitution (Grundgesetz) in 1949. Amidst migration crisis and mass population flows, these asylum guarantees now seem obsolete: they are open door for abuse and cannot keep their promises. Therefore, major reforms are long overdue: States should not be condemned and sanctioned for consistent border protection, restrictive immigration policies and practices of unlawful asylum seekers’ forcible return. Rather they should be able to decide for themselves in the spirit of their sovereignty.
