Ahead of the resumed 5th UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-5.2.), the Chief Scientist of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), Andrea Hinwood, will officially launch UNEP’s flagship Frontiers Report, during an online press briefing at 2:00pm EAT/ 6:00am EST/ 12:00pm CET/ 11:00am GMT on Thursday, 17 February, 2022.
- The report, Noise, Blazes and Mismatches: Emerging Issues of Environmental Concern, focuses on noise pollution, wildfires and phenological shifts.
- This is the fourth edition of the Frontiers Report, first published in 2016 with an alert to the growing risk of zoonotic diseases, four years before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
