At the Eurogroup, ministers discussed and adopted a statement on the euro area’s fiscal stance ahead of the preparation of national budgets for next year. In inclusive format, the Eurogroup held an exchange on the implications of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity for the financial sector, as well as the framework conditions needed to support the development of AI in Europe. Finally, the Eurogroup adopted a statement on digital finance, setting out ministers’ views and ambitions for supporting the development of digital finance in the European Union.
