On 22-24 July, High Representative/Vice-President (HR/VP) Kaja Kallas will travel to Manila, Philippines.
On 22 July, the HR/VP will participate in the EU-ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference and the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
On 23 July, the HR/VP will represent the EU at the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum Ministerial Meeting to exchange views on regional and global security issues.
On 24 July, the HR/VP will participate in events marking the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation, ASEAN’s foundational document. The HR/VP will co-chair a panel on mediation and peacebuilding with the Foreign Minister of Indonesia, Sugiono.
During her visit to Manila, the HR/VP will also hold bilateral meetings with local, regional and international interlocutors. HR/VP Kallas will open the inaugural Kyiv – Manila Dialogue with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha.
She will meet the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, Theresa Lazaro and the Secretary of National Defence of the Philippines, Gilberto Teodoro.
The HR/VP and the Philippine Foreign Secretary will hold a press conference following the meeting at +/- 8.30 PHT local time, which will be transmitted live on EBS.
