The Council held a policy debate on the next MFF 2028-2034, started preparations for the October European Council and held an exchange of views on legislative programming for 2027. Ministers held a horizontal discussion on general developments related to the rule of law situation in the EU and exchanged views on the general trend of rule of law in selected candidate countries.
