Evening Reception on “Safety and Viability of Media in Europe”
Celebrating 10 Years of ECPMF
ECPMF has the pleasure to invite to the celebration of the 10 years anniversary of the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), that takes place at the Brussels Press Club, 95, Rue Froissart Bruxelles, Thursday 12th June at 4 pm.
The chair of our supervisory board, Lucie Sýkorová, a genuine freelance Czech journalist, who has been a member of our cooperative since the very beginning, will give an insight into our activities and expectations on supporting journalists and free media.
Also you will meet our policy advisor in Brussels, Ena Bavčić, and our managing director, Andreas Lamm.
Among our tasks are the fight against SLAPP’s including legal assistance, together with our partners; the monitoring unit: “Media Freedom Rapid Response”; Journalists in Residence a safe harbour; Investigative Journalism for EU; and Voices of Ukraine.

Join leading journalists, civil society representatives, policymakers and friends of media freedom to discuss:
● The “War on Information” and shrinking space for journalists
● How to improve protections through new legal frameworks (SLAPPs, spyware and
other threats)
● Future funding strategies for media viability
● Strengthening protection for journalists in exile and conflict zones
