Europeans Throughout The World Celebrates 40 Years of Connecting the European Diaspora
On 11 June 2025, Europeans Throughout The World (ETTW) will host a special conference in Brussels to mark the 40th anniversary of its founding.
Since 1984, ETTW has been an umbrella organisation for many national expat associations. It is dedicated to empowering European citizens living in another country than their own – inside or outside the EU – by fostering their democratic participation, advocating for inclusive policies, and promoting a transnational civic space grounded in the values of democracy, human rights, and European solidarity.
The conference will bring together EU leaders, diaspora organizations, academics, and civil society to reflect on four decades of progress and to envision the role of the European diaspora in shaping Europe’s future on the global stage. We invite all our partners, supporters and friends to join us in making this meeting a highlight to dialogue, inspire and build the future of the EU itself and for Europeans around the world.
We are particularly honoured to have invited the Vice-President of the European Parliament Nicolae ŞTEFĂNUȚĂ as our keynote speaker for this landmark event.
