SEAP and ECPA invite you to a joint workshop on “Working effectively with consultants in European public affairs”.
Consultancies play a central role in EU public affairs, providing strategic advice, advocacy support, and specialised expertise to companies, associations, and NGOs. At the same time, questions often arise about how to structure these relationships effectively: from defining value for money and managing expectations to ensuring transparency, compliance, and ethical standards.
This event will bring together in-house public affairs professionals, consultants, and association representatives for a training session on how cooperation between consultants and their clients can be made more transparent, efficient, and mutually beneficial.
- The workshop will explore, among other topics:when it makes sense to work with external consultants;
- how to select, brief, and manage consultants effectively;
- managing expectations and defining success;
- ethical standards, including the SEAP Code of Conduct and the EU Transparency Register Code of Conduct;
- how digitalisation and AI tools are reshaping consultancy services.
Experts:
- Rodica Avornic, Policy Director, Carbon Gap
- Hans Hack, Senior Managing Director, FTI Consulting
- Nicola del Valle, EU Government Relations Senior Manager, McDonald’s, and SEAP Board member
Moderator: Kim Watts, Senior Policy Manager, AmChamEU, and SEAP Board member
