The International Air Transport Association (IATA) would like to invite you to join
the on-the-record media briefing taking place in Brussels and online, on 3 September, from 9 – 10am CET.
Breakfast served prior to the media briefing from 8.00am
This will be a great opportunity to engage directly with IATA’s senior leadership on major policy developments shaping European aviation. The focus will be given to 2 main topics: European Entry/Exit System (EES) and the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), but will further address other important EU policy files.
The briefing will include a 30-minute Q&A session and will feature:
- Thomas Reynaert, Senior Vice President, External Affairs (in person)
- Marie Owens Thomsen, Senior Vice President Sustainability & Chief Economist (online)
- Neva Sadikoglu Novaky, Director of EU Affairs & Head of EU Office (in person)
With the expected expiry of the EES suspension on 6 September, growing debate around the EU ETS, and the full resumption of the EU policy agenda following the summer recess, this briefing will provide insights into the industry’s priorities, concerns, and expectations for the remainder of the year. Media will be able to ask questions on the record.
