The 44-Day War: What Prospects for Peace Between Armenia and Azerbaijan?
On the occasion of the launch of the book, The 44-Day War. Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the Struggle for Nagorno-Karabakh, Belgahay Radio and the CAB is pleased to inaugurate Insight Talks, a new series of discussions dedicated to understanding contemporary political and geopolitical dynamics through expert dialogue.
This first Insight Talks session will focus on the post-war political landscape in the South Caucasus. More than five years after the 44-day war—and six months after the meeting at the White House between Trump, Pashinyan, and Aliyev—the discussion will explore the realistic prospects for an actual peace treaty and the conditions for normalized relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The roundtable will be led by Dr Vicken Cheterian, editor of the book and one of the leading experts on the region. He is in Brussels on the occasion of a two-day meeting of the “Araz” Scholars’ Initiative, a network of Armenian, Azerbaijani, and international scholars exploring Armenian–Azerbaijani relations.
