The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) will publish its annual report for 2024

at the Press Club Brussels Europe (Rue Froissart 95) from 10am CEST on Wednesday 28 May.

The report gives an overview of ECRI’s work in 2024 and highlights key policy challenges in combating racism and intolerance across Council of Europe member states, including:

  • racial profiling by the police
  • the segregation of Roma children in education
  • challenges faced by transgender and intersex people, and
  • the situation of equality bodies across Europe

ECRI Chair Bertil Cottier (Switzerland), First Vice-Chair Tena Šimonović Einwalter (Croatia), Bureau member Els Keytsman (Belgium) and ECRI Executive Secretary Johan Friestedt will present the report and take questions from journalists during the event, which will be webcast live via https://www.youtube.com/c/BrusselsPressClubTV.
