Sudan – El Fasher: A Growing Humanitarian and Migration Crisis
El Fasher, Sudan – A severe migration and humanitarian crisis is unfolding as civilians trapped in Alfasher are denied safe passage instead continue to be killed . For more than 18 months, the residents of El Fasher have endured a relentless siege imposed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF),in blatant defiance of UNSC resolution 2736. resulting in extreme shortages of food, clean water, and medical supplies.
In response to the escalating situation, the Sudanese Ambassador Abdelbagi Kabeir will hold an urgent press conference
this Thursday 30 October at 12:00-14:00 at the Press Club Brussels Europe.
This event is open to all journalists and aims to highlight how the crisis in Sudan threatens to evolve from a regional emergency into a global challenge. The Ambassador will also call attention to Europe’s responsibilities regarding the ongoing atrocities committed by the RSF militia.
