As European Union leaders are scheduled to convene in Brussels for a two-day summit, on 21st March, Promote Ukraine NGO will hold a demonstration Rdpt Robert Schuman 65 at 10:00 am, emphasising the immediate need for EU leaders to fulfil their commitments, particularly regarding the swift provision of 1 million rounds of ammunition and requested weaponry to bolster Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
“Our message to EU leaders is clear: outline a decisive strategy for European military support to aid Ukraine in winning the war. We appreciate the political commitment shown thus far, but it’s time for increased action. The current level of support falls short in preventing future Russian offensives and reclaiming Ukrainian territories. With time not on our side and Russia increasing its military production, we need concrete support linked to battlefield achievements. Ukraine will do everything to defend its land and prevent larger Russian assaults on EU and NATO members, but we cannot do it alone. We urge strong support from our EU partners, as this is our common war.” – Olena Kuzhym, Co-Lead of Advocacy at Promote Ukraine NGO.
According to Promote Ukraine NGO, the timely provision of advanced weaponry will not only expedite Ukraine’s ability to repel Russian aggression but also contribute to resource conservation, preservation of human lives, and optimisation of partner funds. The urgency of this matter cannot be overstated, as expedited delivery of weapons holds the potential to hasten Ukraine’s path to victory.
As the summit approaches, everyone anticipates decisive action from EU leaders in reaffirming their unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity with concrete actions.
