Media Advisory:  Press Launch of UNEP’s 2025 Global Methane Status Report

On 17 November, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) will launch the 2025 Global Methane Status Report at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), in Belém, Brazil. 

The 2025 Global Methane Status Report provides updates on global progress on methane mitigation and the remaining work needed to achieve the Global Methane Pledge, as well as the potential for further ambition. It will also provide momentum and incentive for rapid and increased action by showcasing successes, as well as an outlook on the role of empirical data and the financing of methane abatement.

The launch of the report coincides with the Global Methane Pledge Ministerial.

Members of the press are invited to the press conference for the Report launch taking place on 17 November at 14:00 BRT / 18:00 CET / 20:00 EAT in Press Conference 1, Area D, Blue Zone. A live webcast link will be available here.
